Neapolitan Friarielli Broccoli in Sunflower Oil
Neapolitan “friarielli” are the typical flowering shoots of the Brassica rapa plant grown in Campania. Neapolitan “Friarielli” broccoli is a true staple of Campania’s regional cuisine and is prepared according to tradition.
They are processed by hand, using only the most tender parts of the broccoli. They have green leaves, thin stems and a distinctive, slightly bitter taste.
They are pan-fried with oil, garlic and chilli, following an ancient Neapolitan recipe.
The finest broccoli produces an ingredient with an inimitable flavour, ready to serve.
Ideal as a side dish or as the key ingredient in the famous Neapolitan pizza with salsiccia and friarielli.
