The taste of honey is influenced by the particular flower of the plant.
Italian Cornflower Honey (Miele di Fiordaliso Giallo)
The yellow cornflower is a wild growing tussocky herb that flowers in July to August in sunny uncultivated fields.
Honey made from the flowers of the cornflower is a particularly precious, relatively rare honey that is difficult to produce and is typical of Puglia.
It has a yellow colour with greenish tints, tends to crystallise but remains creamy.
The taste is sweet and full-bodied, slightly spicy with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Appearance: compact yellow colour
Aroma: medium intensity
Taste: delicate and reminiscent of wild flowers
Ingredients: honey from cornflowers (country of origin: Italy).
